This page is for Frequently Asked Questions on making your system work properly with this website; 220 generation – the youth revival supersite. Any questions you might have that is not covered here, please visit the “contact page” and drop us your question there.
Q:. I listened to some of the audio on your site and some of them are very low…
A: Thanks for the heads up. Some of them we knew about as we do QC on the site, so we are working on some of them, but with the website growing so fast we tend to get sidetracked. The problems with low audio we knew about was "Taking Ground", "The Lepper Church" and "Where is the Army coming from" on the Bootcamp Briefings page. We have fixed these and hope all is well. If you find any of these problems or dead links etc. please email me at ivinv@uskonet.com.
Q: I see a lot of the stuff on the site is not your own work. Aren't most of them copywritten?
A: Sure, we cannot always find the authors of a lot the material here, although we have or built or we are busy building relationship with them. We check out the copyright conditions on each E-book, go to websites of cartoons and we have been in contact with some of the creators of them, we have relationships with the Poets and their permission to post their material. Most of the E-books and articles are posted because they have a "produced for the Kingdom of God. Use and distribute freely. Do not sell" policy.
Don't worry, we are very careful and we try get in contact with all the producers of material used on this site. However, if anyone feels they own property exhibited on this site, they are free to contact us via the contact form and we will immediately remove any work that may not be used.
Q: So, what is the 220's MO?
A: Good question. Total world domination! Lol. I built this site simply because I believe young people are hungry and not many youth leaders, youth pastors or clergy's telling young people what God wants to say to them today. Most of the time they are tied up in meetings, chasing numbers and performances or have their focus directed on the congregation at large.
God has a specific word for young people everyday and they are not really being trained to hear God, never mind listening to Him. So we provide a voice for young people to interact with others, let their voice be heard like on the poems page, forums, featuring their writings, their books and stories. We're not at the level Battlecry is at yet where young peoplec can blog, interact, post videos etc on; but that's where we are trusting the Lord to go. God is opening many similar opportunities all over the world.
When a youth person want to be ignited with fire and want a one-stop website where he can get everything he needs: vision, teaching, hang out, meet others, interact, let his voice be heard; we want to provide them with that. I am trying to make 220gen the one stop place to for revival resources and want to attract as many young people as possible and continue doing what God called me to do, raise an army of young people… Salvation Army style!
Q: The videos on the site plays but I don't hear any sound.
A: The site works perfectly using IE but IE is a nightmare from a developing side. Do you have a flash player? Have you got the latest one? It could be that the old one wasn't overwritten when you updated. Yes, it does need to be completely uninstalled for the new one to work as the new and the old cannot exist in the same space. It's probably good to uninstall the old version and then install the latest version.
Q: I heard you updated some of your pages but I can't see the new material. How can I see the updated pages?
A: I had many similar problems. You need to clear your cache because the old design is still stuck there and as long as it's not cleared, you'll never see the new material. Simply press CTRL and F5 at the same time.
Q: What's with the color Scheme of your site? Isn't a Christian website about revival supposed to be all white, happy and inspiring? The overly black and red makes one think strange things.
A: We want to attract all kinds of people. The website is a revival website. We aren't interested in seering anyone's conscience or getting the favor of no-one. We're not into making friends or seeking affirmation from anybody. So, we carry a certain measure of shock value and we want you to be cross with us and love Jesus; this typifies our ministry. Being the underdog if we could get you the Big Dog.
The website colors have been established out of a mindset myself and some of my friends developed over the past few years. We always said that if we we're to make T-Shirts we would make them black, red and white; all these colors on the same t-shirt - to typify something very important. That something is the same outlook we took in designing the website.
Black - Out of darkness
Red - Through the Blood of Jesus Christ
White - into the Light
Cool huh?
Q: I tried to listen to the audios (awesome page b.t.w) and some of them doesn't work... (dead links)
A: Here's the 411 on the audio's. Because we present so many resources on this website, and being a handful of soldiers that work night and day to post up stuff, it's very difficult foir us to check on dead links. So,...
We'd appreciate if you could drop us a line when there is one that doesn't work, and that doesn't mean just the audio's - any link at all. Please send all reports to report@220generation.com.
Some of the audios come from fireonthealtar.com, so if you see thier URL, they might be offline for now, so come back later for your download or listen to seomthing else in the meantime.
Some of them are posted on lostseed.com. If you get to Jesse's website, simply click on the "compilations" button and look for the title - then listen away. This sometimes happens as well.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience but this is the nature with shared links and properties.
I hope that helps.
